The Olsen twins are hoping to spread a little “Influence.”

Mark-Kate and Ashley Olsen are working on a coffee table book about fashion, called “Influence,” that a division of Penguin Group (USA) will release in the fall.

According to a statement issued Wednesday by Penguin, the book will include “exclusive photographs of Ashley and Mary-Kate from world renowned photographer Rankin, and a wide variety of other never-before-seen materials and interviews from Mary-Kate and Ashley’s personal collections.”

The Olsens will be writing about such artists and designers as Bob Colacello, Terry Richardson and Jack Pierson.

“Mary-Kate and I have filled ‘Influence’ with the most interesting, challenging, creative people we know — the ones who helped pave the way for us and our generation,” Ashley Olsen said in a statement.

“Ashley and I interviewed the people who have inspired us, with the hope that they will inspire and teach others,” Mary-Kate Olsen said in a statement.

McCartney Divorce Ruling Due March 17

Friday, February 29th, 2008

LONDON (AP) ―

A British judge will give the financial terms of Paul McCartney and Heather Mills’ divorce settlement on March 17.

The Judicial Communications Office said Judge Hugh Bennett would deliver his ruling to McCartney, Mills and their lawyers during a private court hearing.

He will then decide, after hearing from their lawyers, whether to make any of the ruling public.

In Britain, divorce cases are heard behind closed doors, but the secrecy has only spurred speculation about the possible size of a financial settlement.

Mills, 40, and McCartney, 65, separated in 2006 after four years of marriage.

“So then I put on rubber boots and I literally get into the trashcan and I stomp on the trash and Deacon (her son) thinks it is so great. (Read the full post about ‘Reese Witherspoon Reveals Dirty Secret To Ellen’…)

MALDEN, Mass. (WBZ) ― Family members say a woman’s body found in the trunk of a car on Faulkner Street in Malden Wednesday afternoon is that of a missing Lynn woman.

Norma Dorce Gills, 37, hadn’t been seen or heard from since she went out for coffee on Feb. 13.

Gills owned the Scruple hair salon on Salem Street in Malden, just a few blocks from where her body was found inside the trunk of her car.

Harvard Implements Women-Only Workouts

Friday, February 29th, 2008

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WBZ) ― A Harvard University recreation center will be open for women only for about 4 hours each week so Muslim women won’t have to exercise in front of Muslim men.

It’s a plan that has been in the works for awhile, school officials said.

But some students said they feel the policy goes too far.

“For a college to deny half the campus a resource after tuition has been paid and after they have already come to the college seems unfair,” said student Lucy Caldwell.

The women’s-only workout is just a pilot program currently. Attendance has been low so far.
